JA Morant seemed very frustrated when Patrick Beverley tried to provoke him during the last seconds when the Grizzlies lost their first games of the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves by 130-117 on Saturday night.
It was already expected that the playoff series between the Grizzlies and Timberwolves will be a lot of fun as we will be able to see JA Morant and the notorious Patrick Beverley going head-to-head. Both teams in this season have created an image as brash, trash-talking groups. So, everyone was excited to see whether Beverley will be able to go under the Morant’s skin and it seems not only Patrick, but his whole team was able to do so.
The first game of the series was started on a bad note for the Grizzlies where they were expected to be favorites but failed and its frustration was seen on every Memphis player. Previously Jaren Jackson Jr. in anger pushed Jaden McDaniels when Karl Anthony Towns dunked on him.
Later when the game was on the verge of ending even Beverly tried to get some action from Morant, the Wolves guard threw the ball in the air when Morant was just standing beside him to provoke him but the Grizzlies guard showed maturity and didn’t react to it.

Can JA Morant and Grizzlies Co. overcome the loss in the first game of the playoffs?
Well, coming back to the game it was a hard-fought battle between these two young teams where Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with his 36-points postseason debut, the ant-man performance gave a good start to the Wolves’ playoffs campaign and stunned the second seed of the west with which they are now in the series lead of 1-0 over the Grizzlies.

Whereas for Memphis, JA Morant added 32 points with eight assists, he got a lot of support from his teammate Dillon Brooks who scored 24 points and Desmond Bane added 17 points but it was not enough to beat the Wolves in this game. the Morant and Co. have to take the lesson from this loss and need to bounce back or it will take no time for the Timberwolves to knock them out of the postseason.
