Ja Morant joins LeBron James and Kobe Bryant after massive 47-point explosion in Game 2 vs Warriors

Ja Morant could not convert a last minute layup against the Golden State Warriors in Game 1, to bring glory to Memphis Grizzlies. On Game 2, he made sure it was game-set-match for Memphis as they won 106-101, tying the series at 1-1 as we head over to the Bay for Game 3. Ja Morant, one of the league’s most compelling young talents, had a mesmerizing game as he dropped a career-high 47 points, joining LeBron James and Kobe Bryant as the only players in history to record multiple 45-point playoff games before the age of 23

In a game of high stakes and no margins for error whatsoever, Ja Morant was in the ‘Zone’. It was an enthralling encounter between two fierce teams that featured the ejection of Grizzlies defensive ace Dillon Brooks and stitches to Warriors star Draymond Green’s face who was not happy about it and showed his discontent to the home fans . Memphis avenged a 117-116 home loss in Game 1 as the best-of-seven travels to San Francisco for Games 3 and 4 on Saturday and Monday.

Ja Morant detonates, drops 15 points in the last 4 minutes

Ja Morant had 47 points on the night, including 5-for-12 on three-pointers, helping the Grizzlies outscore Golden State, 42-21, from beyond the arc. He also dished out 8 assists and 8 rebounds. While Ziaire Williams chipped in with 14 points, Jaren Jackson Jr. contributed 12 points before fouling out, and Brandon Clarke with 10.
