Ja Morant throws a jab at the referees
Ja Morant is not one to murmur, he speaks loud and clear on and off the court. According to the NBA’s last minute report from Game 2 between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies, the referees missed a traveling call on Ja Morant with less than a minute on the clock. It was a a hard fought contest throughout and a turnover at that point could have swung the game in the direction of the Warriors.
The Grizzlies star appears to be implying that the NBA is giving him “special attention” because of his star status. Ja seems to be questioning why he’s being singled out when everyone else in the league does the exact same move — at least in his eyes. This series has been a rollercoaster ride, surrounded with controversies at every turn of the clock. This is just the latest in a growing list and it sets us all up for quite a ride for the rest of the way.

Ja Morant influential in series vs Warriors
Ja Morant could not convert a last minute layup against the Golden State Warriors in Game 1, to bring glory to Memphis Grizzlies. On Game 2, he made sure it was game-set-match for Memphis as they won 106-101, tying the series at 1-1 as we head over to the Bay for Game 3. Morant had a mesmerizing game as he dropped a career-high 47 points, joining LeBron James and Kobe Bryant as the only players in history to record multiple 45-point playoff games before the age of 23
Morant’s responded to a tweet that said he dribbles like every other player in the NBA, with the 2022 Most Improved Player Award winner noting “everybody does it.”
Morant carried the ball with just 30.7 seconds left in the game and Memphis leading 101-100. Had the play been called correctly, it could have changed the outcome of the game’s pivotal final moments.The Last Two Minute Report stated that during the play, “Morant (MEM) places his hand completely under the ball and brings it to a pause during his drive to the basket.”
It was an enthralling encounter between two fierce teams that featured the ejection of Grizzlies defensive ace Dillon Brooks and stitches to Warriors star Draymond Green’s face. It worked to his advantage, allowing Morant to create space and drop a short push shot over Andrew Wiggins to give Memphis a three-point lead.
