Making a comeback from his suspension and facing off against the New Orleans Pelicans, Ja Morant, the standout player for the Memphis Grizzlies, sparked controversy by employing a gun-waving celebration on that particular day. Anticipating a comparable reaction from the media when another athlete replicated the celebration, Morant swiftly responded with a sharp clapback.

The spotlight turns to Quinn Ewers, the American college football quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, who replicated Morant’s celebratory move. This happened during the Sugar Bowl game in New Orleans between Texas and Washington, Interestingly, the media’s response differed from Morant’s experience. This discrepancy didn’t sit well with Morant, who perceived it as a clear form of bias.

When Morant did the same thing, the organization’s response was:

Ja spraying imaginary bullets into section 113 after the slam.

Morant, displeased with the evident double standard, countered by responding to the biased media company’s post with a laughing emoji. This ignited a chain reaction among Morant’s supporters, who questioned the friendly treatment towards Quinn Ewers. The incident further fueled the ongoing conversation surrounding the perceived bias.

This season, upon his return from suspension, Morant has been showcasing impressive statistics, averaging 25.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 7.8 assists, with a notable field goal percentage of 46.7.
