The Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies for Game 6. After a 3-2 series lead and a heated rivalry between both teams, the series is finally over as the Lakers won 125-85. In the series finale, LeBron James and the Lakers established their dominance against the Grizzlies. The two leaders, Ja Morant and Desmond Bane did everything they could but couldn’t match the Lakers’ clutch performance in the previous games, as well as their scoring storm in Game 6.
The Lakers will now face the winner of the series between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings in the second round, with the opponent to be determined following Game 7 of that series. Tonight, the team representing Hollywood was joined by a Hollywood legend. The Lakers are followed and supported by a large number of celebrities. To mention a few, Snoop Dogg, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Denzel Washington.
Though their oldest fan out of all the celebrities, Jack Nicholson, attended Game 6 of the first round after a long time. The Hollywood legend has been supporting the Lakers since the showtime era. Not only that, but he has a long history of attending Lakers games, as he has witnessed several Lakers’ all-time greats in action. From Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s first game to Kobe Bryant’s 60-point bomb in his last game, the three-time Oscar winner has seen it all.
He frequently sits courtside at home games to cheer on his favorite team. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him near the courtside seats for a home game. Despite this, Nicholson did not attend a Lakers game since the last season’s opening game in October 2021. However, he was there today to cheer on the men in purple and gold as they annihilated the Grizzlies.

“The Mulholland Man” has been a Lakers fan since 1970. He has seen some of the historic games in real time. Jack Nicholson was there when Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls won their first championship in 1991 by beating his LA Lakers. He has also witnessed the best games from the showtime era, with Magic Johnson and Kareem on the floor. Out of all the games, Nicholson also attended one of the most memorable performances ever, which was Kobe Bryant’s final game.
The iconic actor has been a season ticket holder since 1970 and will continue to see such games. Due to his health and age, he may not be seen courtside at every home game, but he will be there for a crucial game. Fair to conclude, Nicholson is one die-hard fan of the Los Angeles Lakers.
