Jada Pinkett Smith has recently been in the news a lot. The reason for this is the breakdown of her marriage with Will Smith. Jada has gone out of the way countless times to express how she never truly loved Will and she never felt that connection with him. She has also added that her relationship with the late rapper Tupac Shakur greatly disturbed Will, but she never did anything to help him.

Tupac Shakur was one of the most prominent rappers of the 90s era. He was considered a legend by many surrounding him. He had a very close relation ship with Jada. Jada even revealed in a podcast with former NBA player Matt Barnes that Shakur once proposed to her during his time in jail in 1995. Shakur unfortunately was gunned down just a year later.

During his time in jail, Shakur needed somebody he could count on, and in his mind, that person was his long time best friend, Jada. “I wrote about that in the book. When he asked me to get married he was at Rikers. And I knew at that time that he needed someone to do time with him, which I was gonna do anyways. He didn’t have to marry me to do that. “One thing he did not want me as was a wife. I know that for a fact,” Jada said.

If it had not been for Shakur’s death, who knows? It is entirely possible that Jada and Shakur could’ve gotten together at some point in their lives. Jada has often said that she felt as if Shakur was her soulmate, her best friend. She has added on that while she felt there was no chemistry between the two, there was a bond that couldn’t be described in words.
