A video of Jalen Rose defending his now ex-wife Molly Qerim against the inappropriate comments and criticism of LaVar Ball has resurfaced on the internet. The couple got divorced last December and it was mutually decided between them though there are rumors of Molly Qerim being in a relationship with her co-host Stephen A. Smith at ESPN’s First Take. Everyone involved here are well-known media personalities LaVar Ball is known for being one of the proudest dads around the league who also ran a show and is a successful businessman. While Jalen Rose is a retired NBA player who now is a sports analyst for multiple shows and also ESPN.
LaVar Ball made an inappropriate comment on Molly Qerim during his time at ESPN’s First Take to discuss Lonzo Ball’s trade. He said Molly Qerim could “switch gears with me anytime” and while defending himself for his very wrong choice of words as he has it framed also mentioned, “her mind is in the gutter” as he meant something very different than the shade he is getting for. He was later banned by the show but Jalen Rose revealed he and his wife aren’t involved with it and that’s not a ban.
LaVar Ball’s ban brought a lot of criticism for Molly Qerim as the internet won over both of them. So it was necessary for her husband back then Jalen Rose step up and put an end to it as he was too getting dragged in and criticized for something he never did or thought to do so. Jalen Rose did exactly what should have been done as he revealed it later and no feelings were hurt but things were calmed.

Jalen Rose discussed the moment at Vlad TV and quoted: “I was watching it live. The first thing I thought was I got his number on my phone, I live with her, I don’t want this to create a stain and we all know how this social media generation works. It may trend and become… or it may not… This is my actual wife so for anybody who has ever been married you don’t run your household anyway. If you tell your boys you do you are lying. So number one we decompress directly indirectly what happened at work…he compounds it in an interview. He was like her head is in a gutter or whatever whatever… she took it the wrong way and by the way… I judged her by the way she responded to my text… You fools think Jalen and Molly Qerim Rose got what it takes to get someone banned from Disney, ABC, and ESPN… so the idea of oh she got a black man banned from the network that’s ignorant he not banned…”
Jalen Rose also mentioned his relations with LaVar Ball and how he wanted him to adopt him. He responded smartly and made sure the truth is out as he also mentioned their reaction to the awkward moment and interaction on the T.V and how’s that just a part of the work and not something to discuss or cry about. LaVar Ball though to this day is criticized for his actions and he really deserves some as the choice of words was very poor and that video lives on the internet rent-free.
