Jalen Rose recently opened up about her divorce with Molly Qerim as the beautiful couple parted ways after three years of marriage which was unexpected and shocked many of their fans around. They officially announced their divorce in December 2021. Many believe it was because of Molly Qerim being in a relationship with her co-host Stephen A. Smith at ESPN’s First Take. But nothing was confirmed on those rumors as they were never addressed by anyone involved and now Jalen Rose shut them all down as he quoted them as speculations by media and the public. Everyone involved here himself is a media personality and member as they host many sports shows for companies like ESPN and others and are also analysts. So they knew how to handle these rumors and get the job done without getting in trouble for some made-up facts.
Jalen Rose recently appeared in an interview with GQ Sports and there he discussed about being a former athlete who turned into a T.V personality, the current league, playoffs, the wage gap, and also opened up about his divorce. Discussing his divorce Jalen Rose quoted: “In my personal relationship, it was laughable to me, to see [Molly Querim] and I mutually part ways, be in accord about why we’re parting ways, and still see people speculating on why. Not only speculating—in particular saying it was because her and Stephen A. Smith had a relationship. And…And, like, unequivocally, I’m not here to speak for what he does in his personal life or what she does in her personal life, I got love for both of them. We still 100. I would just say that for people who thought we parted ways because they have a relationship? Then I got some swampland in Detroit to sell you for top dollar. That is not why we split.”
Jalen Rose also mentioned the rumors didn’t really bother him much but the reach they got that did as it was trending and fingers were raised for him and his ex-wife Molly Qerim. Everyone is well aware with how he handled the LaVar Ball situation when he criticized his wife while making some inappropriate comments as the choice of words was really very wrong. So many around knew that they were there for each other and so was the love. But the rumors of Stephen A. Smith also got in their head as well since he was getting disrespected and laughed on a lot.

Jalen Rose addressing the situation quoted: “I still see that, by the way. I might say something about someone’s team and I’ll see, “That’s why Molly left him!” or “That’s why Stephen A. kickin’ it wit’ yo ex-wife!” That’s not true. But, when it happened, it’s two ways for me to handle it as a professional: I work with him, I got love for him, and that’s my brother. I got love for her, we were friends before we were married, we just didn’t work as a couple. I just saw her today. We cool! But for me to see the speculation and for people to assume that was why, it bothered me… People would say, “Jalen’s a sucker, Stephen A. snatched his wife and he up there workin’ with him,” or “Look, at Molly, she was talkin’ to Jalen yesterday now she kickin it with…” That ain’t happen.”
Jalen Rose also added that he is happy that he didn’t responded to any of those speculation and remarks as he didn’t fuel up those people. Further, when he was asked about none of them talking about it or addressing it he just gave away a sensible and smart reply by saying it got the reach had blog and articles on it so none of us have spoken on it. As of now, the things are good and calm with everyone involved being happy at their places but the rumors, they still live on.
