OKC Thunder’s Jalen Williams has been in rampant form of late and has emerged as his team’s secondary superstar in the backdrop of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander instating himself as one of the best scorers in the NBA. The OKC Thunder, riding on the likes of SGA, Chet Holmgren, and Williams, is currently 2nd in the Western Conference, with a record of 27-13.
Jalen Williams’ improved ability to score points was on full display in the recent loss against the LA Clippers. The Clippers effectively continued their rise towards the top, and are currently 4th, with a 26-14 record.

Boasting the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden, the Clippers have emerged as arguably the most dangerous team in the league and were largely comfortable through the night. Regardless, one particular play during the second quarter saw Williams absolutely decimate James Harden.
Driving with the ball, Williams broke Harden’s ankles before pulling up an easy mid-ranger over him. The veteran’s reaction, alongside the response from the crowd, told a tale in itself. Harden was left stunned as Williams showed exactly why he has been in the news in recent months.
The 22-year-old finished with 25 points, 7 assists, and 3 rebounds, and produced an impressive 12-17 display from the field.
While it did not prove enough on the night, OKC Thunder fans will be more than happy with how their team has continued to progress and will be hoping for a strong Playoff stint in the upcoming postseason.

Jalen Williams, who was the 12th overall pick of the 2022 NBA draft, was not expected to emerge as the team’s third obvious star. However, he has exceeded expectations and has proven his unique skill set, which alongside a 6 5” frame and his ever-improving shooting abilities means that Williams is a problem for every defense.

That is what the fans seemingly believe as well:
The Thunder is shaping up to be a surprise contender for a deep playoff run this season. There is little doubt that they have gone from strength to strength and are finally reaping the benefits of trusting their young stars.
