Over the years, NBA fans have seen many strange things happen in the league. However, one player blocking their teammate is something very new. A bizarre play took place during the Los Angeles Clippers game today. Clippers guard James Harden blocked his teammate Kawhi Leonard on the three-point line.

The Los Angeles Clippers are on a two-game road trip to play against the Portland Trail Blazers back-to-back. On their first game on Wednesday, the team had an easy road win. However, a strange play in the third quarter left the fans confused. With four and a half minutes left in the quarter, the Clippers had their largest lead of the game at 81-60. James Harden had the possession and passed the ball to Kawhi Leonard, who was open in the corner for a three-pointer.

But what happened next was something nobody expected. Harden tried to block Leonard on the three-point line on his assist. After Harden’s interruption, Leonard missed the field goal despite being wide open. Luckily, the guard was able to get an offensive rebound and passed the ball another time for his teammate Amir Coffey, who scored.

Not just fans, Leonard also seemed confused by Harden’s actions. Despite some trouble, the Clippers secured the win at 116-103. The win was an important one, as the team has lost four of their last five games. Harden finished the game with a double-double with 19 points and 14 assists. And Leonard was another essential contributor to the win had 24 points at the finish line.
