NBA superstar James Harden always manages to find himself in the news. While the topic of discussion on Harden is sometimes related to his performances or his fashion sense, it mostly has to do with his trade requests. Harden has a long history of trade requests. He has often demanded to go to a team where he feels he can win a championship. During this off-season, Harden’s preferred destination has been the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Los Angeles Clippers already boasts a stellar cast. The team already has NBA stars Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook. While Harden, who is currently playing for the 76ers, has Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey with him in Philadelphia, the prowess of the Clippers team far surpasses them. If Harden were to be traded to the Clippers, they would boast one of the best offenses in the league. With four all-star calibre players on the floor at once, the Clippers would be a team to look out for.

While nothing concrete has been announced by the Clippers as of now, it doesn’t mean they aren’t interested. Plus, according to NBA reporter Jake Fischer, Harden still thinks he has a shot of going to the Clippers.

Clippers fans should hope that Harden gets traded to them. It would give them an excellent option on the offensive end, which would mean that if Leonard and George sit out a game (which they frequently do) the Clippers wouldn’t be left clueless on offense. Harden is an excellent facilitator when he wants to be. Averaging 10.7 assists last season, he would be an excellent addition to the Clippers’ roster, making them almost instant championship contenders.

James Harden’s team history

James Harden originally started out his career playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2009. While he had a decent run there and even won 6th Man of the Year, he was often underutilised. This caused immense frustration for Harden, and eventually led to him being traded from the Thunder

He then landed with the Houston Rockets. This is where truly flourished. He blossomed into one of the best scorers in the league and won 3 scoring titles during his time there, averaging more than 30 a game on each one. While he eventually won an MVP there, he failed to bring a championship and he asked to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2020.

His stay in Brooklyn was quite short. In 2021, he was traded to his current team – the Philadelphia 76ers. It appears however that he will now be moving from Philadelphia as well, continuing his quest for an NBA ring with a different team.
