James Harden was spotted in China, earlier this month. Meanwhile, the fiasco between him and his team Philadelphia 76ers continues to grow. Harden has been making headlines ever since the trade talks between the 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers failed.

Harden has a very huge fanbase in China because he played for the Houston Rockets and took that franchise to new heights. The East Asian country has a huge Houston fanbase because of Yao Ming. He was a superstar and an All-Star in every season he played. Ming was drafted by the Houston Rockets with the No.1 pick in the 2002 NBA Draft.

Talking about the popularity and potential of playing in China down the line. In a conversation with Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer Harden hinted towards playing in China sometime because the love he receives in the country is amazing.“Every time I come here, the love is just like … it’s crazy, you know what I mean? So I feel like they deserve to actually see me come to play here… Love is always crazy here.”

The situation between Harden and the 76ers continues to worsen. However, if Harden doesn’t play for Morey’s 76ers, as he stated during the camp in China, it could dash his hopes of playing in front of his Chinese fans. This would potentially enable the 76ers to prevent Harden from signing with any professional basketball organization until they grant consent.

Struggling to free himself from the Philadelphia 76ers James Harden went to great lengths. He even accused President Daryl Morey of dishonesty during the camp conducted as part of his Adidas partnership tour in China. It’s possible that Harden had planned this due to the existing animosity of Chinese fans towards Morey, stemming from his previous comments against the Chinese Government.

While enjoying his tour in China, Harden encountered a surprising incident. During a recent livestream with a local Chinese streamer to promote his wine brand ‘J-Harden Wines‘, he was taken aback by the overwhelming support from Chinese fans. When he encouraged fans to purchase his wine, an astonishing 10,000 wine bottles were sold in just 5 seconds, leaving Harden both amazed and wide-eyed.
