The James Harden trade saga has finally come to a conclusion. After months of dissatisfaction with the Philadelphia 76ers franchise, including calling President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey a liar, not receiving a max extension, missing practices, and being disallowed to play for the franchise, Harden has finally been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the 76ers and the Clippers have reached a trade agreement. The trade would involve James Harden, PJ Tucker, and Filip Petrusev heading to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Marcus Morris, Nic Batum, Robert Covington, KJ Martin, multiple draft picks, and multiple pick swaps. Notably, the Clippers managed the trade without giving up either Terrance Mann or Norman Powell.

To complete the trade, the Sixers had to waive veteran Danny Green, which improved their bench depth. This trade appears to favor the Clippers, as they didn’t trade away their best role players to acquire Harden, significantly enhancing their team.
