“Not LeBron, not Giannis, not Steph but him” Jaylen Brown becomes Kanye West’s first NBA client at Donda Sports
Jaylen Brown of Boston Celtics
It is safe to say that Kanye West’s Donda Sports is seeming to be the next big thing in the world of sports. After Rams Future Hall of Famer and current NFL Champ, Aaron Donald, it looks like Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has too joined the hype train to work alongside Kanye West. Moreover, the charismatic guard of Celtics is the first NBA player to land this deal.
To those who are not aware, Kanye West and Jaylen Brown have been friends for some time now. Be it the post-game interviews or pictures, West has been spotted hanging a lot of time with the Boston Celtics marquee and according to TMZ they have decided to work together as well. The TMZ article also said that Kanye specifically wanted Brown because he believes Jaylen doesn’t receive the attention deserves.
Jaylen Brown becomes the first NBA Player to secure deal with Donda Sports
As per TMZ, “We’re told Donda eyed the Eastern Conference champ because of his intelligence, social activism and charitable work … as well as his success on the court.”
Brown is undeniably a star in the NBA. The Boston stud averaged 23 points per game, 6 rebound and 4 assists in 2021-22 season and played a crucial role in helping the Celtics get to the NBA Finals. However, he is considered a secondary option behind Jayson Tatum for Boston. So people tend to overlook what Brown brings to the table. But there is no denying the attacking prowess of Brown has hugely helped Celtics game after game in the playoffs. Moreover, when Tatum has failed to fire, it is Jaylen who has stepped up on the grandest stage against the best-of-defences in the league.
Kanye West’s goal is to help Brown receive the accolades and attention he deserves. But Jaylen Brown could bring all of that upon himself with a big NBA Finals performance against the Stephen Curry and Draymond Green led Golden State Warriors. That being said, this partnership with Donda Sports should be beneficial for both West and Brown moving forward. Jaylen Brown is clearly emerging as a star both on and off the court.
