The Boston Celtics have been thrown out of the playoffs by the Miami Heat, but Jaylen Brown takes the credit. The Celtics suffered a blowout 19-point loss to the Heat in Game 7 in TD Garden. If a loss in front of their home crowd wasn’t enough, their loss was majorly caused by Celtics’ Jaylen Brown. A performance so poor, it will not be forgotten for ages and will have to face the wrath of fans.
Jaylen Brown has been one of the most disappointing players in this postseason run. He has displayed terrible shooting, terrible shot selection, terrible handles, and terrible on and off defense while also leading the playoffs in turnovers and fouls. If this wasn’t enough, his Game 7 statistics shed light on the state of his performance. Brown went 1-7 3PT and shot 38% FG and had 8 turnovers, all with the series on the line.
Surprisingly, Brown was still the scoring leader for the Celtics as he added a total of 19 points, along with five assists and eight rebounds. Derrick White followed with 18 points of his own, adding one assist and two rebounds. Jayson Tatum flopped equally as badly as he scored 14 points, four assists, and 11 rebounds.
For the Heat, on the other hand, Jimmy Butler was the star of the show. Butler scored 28 points, six assists, and seven rebounds, leading the way for his team. Caleb Martin followed with 26 points, three assists, and seven rebounds. While this loss will eventually be forgotten, fans won’t let go of this horrendous performance from Jaylen Brown.

Whether the series is on the line or not, Jaylen Brown has managed to have one of the most awful playoff runs. His only contribution to the Celtics was giving “mystic” statements after each game asking the Heat to not “let us win.” The Celtics succumbed to the pressure put up by the Heat in Game 7 and lost their opportunity to make history. The only historic thing about this game was Brown’s horrible performance, which is making rounds on Twitter.
