Kendrick Perkins has made his way back to the NBA headlines. And, once again the reason is the superstar duo of the Boston Celtics. Big Perk believes that the Boston Celtics don’t deserve any flowers as they are trying to make history while coming back from a 3-0 deficit in the NBA. The Celtics once again have Kendrick Perkins on the opposite end but this time with an interesting take.

Kendrick Perkins believes the Celtics don’t need any applause after winning Game 4 and Game 5 after losing 3 continuous games. And, on a recent episode of “First Take,” he conveyed the same belief in a take of his. While doing so Kendrick Perkins quoted: “Let me start off by saying this: Why should we give any type of props to the Boston Celtics? They don’t need no damn applause. What did they do, besides avoiding a sweep in Game 4 and finally winning a Game 5 at home? They have been horrible at home, and have blown multiple Game 5s this postseason, against the Hawks and against the Philadelphia 76ers.”

Further, Kendrick Perkins talking about the comeback the Boston Celtics are trying to run added: “When I look at the Celtics right now, Derrick White is making shots. Jayson Tatum is consistently, in back-to-back games, finally looking like the best player on the floor. But do I have them coming back to win this series? Hell no.”

Kendrick Perkins didn’t just stop there and leveling his take up, first gave flowers to the Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat while riding with them. As he believes the Heat Team can close the series and advance to the 2023 NBA Finals. Further, taking a jab at the Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown-led Boston Celtics, he quoted: “If you want me to give the Boston Celtics a cookie for avoiding a sweep in Game 4, and finally winning a Game 5 in front of their home crowd? Congratulations. Kudos.”

Kendrick Perkins isn’t all wrong with his take, while he isn’t applauding the Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown-led Boston Celtics. As the Boston Celtics should have never even been in this situation.

But unfortunately, they are down and now trying to climb up. They have forced a Game 6 and now have a shot at making the series even. But at the same time, the Miami Heat team is just one dub away from eliminating them.
