“I know what he has accomplished and what impact he could’ve had on this series” Jayson Tatum makes honest admission on sweeping Kevin Durant, Nets
Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown-led Boston Celtics have finally got their revenge as they swept the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving-led Brooklyn Nets out of the postseason. The Celtics are the first team in the first round to get the brooms out and close the series by 4-0 and the Nets are the only team so far to not win a single playoffs match-up. Jayson Tatum has proved himself out on both the ends as he ran the offensive one while holding one of the greatest scorers ever (Kevin Durant) down on the defensive one. He is the most important piece of the Celtics who has everything revolving around him as he goes all in and against to have the team on the winning side.
The Brooklyn Nets hosted the Boston Celtics at Barclays Center for Game 4. It was a do-or-die game for the Nets and unfortunately, they are no more a part of the postseason and it’s a wrap for them. The matchup was closely contested and head to head but the Celtics were always strong on their end and eventually got the big dub. As the final box score stands at 112-116 favoring the Nets. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving though breaking their bad form stepped up to get a win but it was too late for them as the Jayson Tatum-led Celtics’ were already all in and hot for the game to sweep their rivals out.
In the game, Jayson Tatum dropped 29 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds while he was backed up by Jaylen Brown (22 points, 3 assists, and 8 rebounds) and Marcus Smart (20 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds). Kevin Durant had 39 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds but ended up on the losing end with a wrap-up for his season. After the game, Jayson Tatum though showed out some love and respect for KD in an interview.

Jayson Tatum on sweeping the Kevin Durant led Brooklyn Nets
After getting the dub and winning it all in the on-court post-game interview with the crew members of NBA on TNT Jayson Tatum replying to the question of winning against Kevin Durant quoted: “Ahhh man it’s a challenge especially on both ends I knew that he was coming at. I knew that he is capable of I know that what he has accomplished and he pushed me you know going up against somebody like that I knew I have to be on point and compete on both the ends on every night. That was my mentality going in. That’s what I tried to accomplish”.
Jayson Tatum was honest throughout his interview as he showed out the perfect love and respect one can. The future of the Boston Celtics is in great hands and it won’t be unexpected if they make the loudest noise this year as they really have the potential to do so. Now the Celtics have time to rest and get back good to face their next opponent and win it all in the eastern conference.
