“Stephen Curry is your daddy” Jayson Tatum responds to fan mocking with brutal message after 2021-22 NBA Finals
Fans mock Jayson Tatum by stating "Stephen Curry is your daddy"
The Boston Celtics faltered under the unstoppable force of the Warriors. The Boston Celtics’ ‘Big 3’ including Jayson Tatum had been marvelous in the playoffs, however the Warriors stepped up and claimed what is theirs, their opponents bowed down, and the haters are nowhere to be seen, as the Golden State Warriors clinch their 4th NBA Title in 8 seasons. This past weekend, a video showing Celtics player Jayson Tatum dancing up on a DJ set while a random fan tried to make fun of him by holding up a phone with the words “Stephen Curry is your daddy” written on it went viral and Tatum could only chuckle when he saw it.
Shooting over double-teams from the logo, crossing people over and shooting beyond half court, step backs under pressure, runners off one leg from 35 feet, simply the greatest display of shooting we’ve ever seen! In the end, Curry, once again, led the way for Golden State on the offensive end. He finished the series-clinching win with a team-high 34 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, adding yet another chapter to his already storied career.
The rest of the Warriors offered Curry plenty of help as Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson all scored in double figures as well. On the other end, the Celtics were led by Jaylen Brown, who did all he could with 34 points, seven rebounds and three assists, but unfortunately for Boston fans, it wasn’t enough to extend their season one more game. Jayson Tatum still probably has his best basketball ahead of him, but it’s hard to deny that Jayson Tatum just had a rough NBA Finals debut.
Jayson Tatum Responds After Fan Mocks Him With Brutal Message
The Celtics weren’t viewed as title contenders when Marcus Smart shockingly called out All-Star teammates Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for refusing to pass the ball after a November loss to the Bulls. However, the Celtics turned their season around, ending the regular season with all the momentum in their favor. They swept the Nets, beat the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 7 showdown, and were again victorious in a Game 7 match against the Miami heat, but the Golden State Warriors proved to be too hot to handle for them.
Almost 3 weeks after Golden State faltered Jayson Tatum’s Boston Celtics and fans are still trolling Tatum for flopping in Game 6. One fan spotted Jayson Tatum during the 4th of July weekend, reminding the Celtics superstar to never forget who “owns him” During a music festival that took place this past weekend, a fan in the audience was in close range of Tatum and proceed to show him his phone with a caption that read, “Steph Curry is your daddy.”
Jayson Tatum finished with just 13, shooting just 6 of 18 from the field. Boston also committed 22 turnovers, dropping to 1-8 this postseason when committing 16 or more. Beyond the turnovers, though, the Celtics really struggled to respond to the Warriors runs until the fourth quarter when it was a little too late in the Finals , and the Warriors blitzed past them. Tatum recorded just three points in the second half after putting up 11 in the first in Game 6, his dismal performance coupled with a masterclass from Curry led Warriors over the line.
There was a lot of speculation about where Stephen Curry and Golden State will be at the end of this NBA season, after suffering their worst couple of years in recent history. People keep forgetting the lesson that ‘Warriors’ is their name, a part of who they are, they don’t give up.
The horrific end to the 2019 NBA Finals, which saw Klay suffering a torn ACL, coupled with 2 of their worst seasons in recent history, some people were assuming the dynasty had died, well, seems like it won’t so soon. After having gone through so much, Golden State have reinstated their position back among the elite, with Stephen Curry as their ‘Achilles’ .
Instead of losing his cool or directly responding to the fan, Tatum took the comment on the chain and even cracked a smile while standing in what seemed to be the VIP area of the venue. Regardless of how Tatum reacted, it was a hilarious tactic by the NBA fan to get a laugh out of all the people around him and millions of fans on the internet. As this little stunt has already gone viral on social media.
The Celtics stalwart had a dismal Finals debut. However, the All-Star forward, Tatum, did help lead the Celtics to the NBA Finals though. Now, he can use that runner-up finish and his turnover issues as motivation to try and win the whole thing next year, working on his turnovers perhaps
