Miami Heat star forward Jimmy Butler led the team with his career-high to extend the lead in the series by defeating the Atlanta Hawks with a score of 115-105 in Game 2 of round one on Tuesday night.

The game between the Hawks and Heats was full of altercation and drama between the player, and officials. But still, there was a player who was silently playing and kept hustling until his team got the victory in their hands. Jimmy Butler became the hero of the Heat, as he showed some tremendous performance which the Hawks’ defense had no answer.

Butler scored his career-high of 45 points with five rebounds and five assists. he was all over the floor hustling, shooting three-pointers, and getting unbelievable layups which made him unguardable on Tuesday night. He made 15 of 25 from the field goal area and was, 4-of-7 from behind the arc. Not only in the offense he was also guarding the opponent’s offense very well and managed to make two steals.

Meanwhile, the All-star forward’s performance looked like he created the game of prime Michael Jordan. Just like MJ, Butler took command of the team at the crucial moment to lead them to victory. When three minutes were remaining in the game, the score was 104-101 and the Hawks were trying to get the grip over the Heat, but Butler didn’t let that happen and through his insane dunks and layups, he brought the game into the favor of coach Erik Spoelstra’s squad.

The Miami Heat was the first seed in the east and there is no doubt that they were considered the favorites to win the championship. Moreover, Jimmy Butler during the post-game interview explained what was his mindset and how his team and management supported him.

Butler said, “Just staying aggressive, taking what the defense gives me, my teammates want me to play like that. I felt like I’m in a groove. I’m comfortable. My guys are always looking for me.”
