The Miami Heat are two wins away from reaching the NBA Finals after taking a commanding 2-0 lead over the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat rallied from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Celtics 111-105 on Friday night, thanks to a dominant performance by Jimmy Butler.

Butler scored 27 points, including 12 in the final four minutes of the game, and added eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks. He also had a memorable confrontation with Celtics’ Grant Williams, who tried to headbutt him after fouling him on a layup.

Butler shrugged off Williams’ challenge and made a tough and-one bucket over him mid-way through the fourth quarter. Following this, both the players were seen butting heads. Butler then proceeded to take over the game, scoring or assisting on 15 of the Heat’s final 20 points.

Williams, meanwhile, had a night to forget. He scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting, but he also committed three fouls and was benched by coach Joe Mazzulla for most of the second half. He did not make any impact on either end of the floor and was clearly outmatched by Butler.

Williams did hit a three-pointer from 29 feet deep with 5:19 remaining in the fourth quarter, but “Playoff Jimmy” had an apt reply to his three-pointer by making three shots over him in the fourth. The Celtics are now in a dire situation after losing both games at home. They have also struggled with turnovers, rebounding, and defending the three-point line.

Grant Williams also faced a lot of criticism on social media for his trash-talking and headbutting antics. Many fans and analysts mocked him for trying to mess with Butler, who is known for his toughness and competitiveness. Some also brought up his previous suspension for bumping a referee after not getting a charge call vs. the Bulls, suggesting that he has a temper problem.

Here are some of the tweets that bashed Williams for his poor performance and behavior:

The Celtics will need to make some adjustments if they want to extend this series. They will need more production from their bench, which has been outscored by the Heat’s reserves 42-33. They will also need more aggressiveness from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who combined for 50 points on 17-of-43 shooting in Game 2.

The Celtics are not out of this series yet, but they will face a near-must-win situation in Game 3 on Sunday night in Miami.
