Jimmy Butler’s agent catches Grant Williams LYING about trash-talking Heat superstar
Grant Williams gets caught for circulating a false Jimmy Butler trash-talking story,
Grant Williams and Jimmy Butler
Grant Williams just got caught red-handed for running a fake story of him and Jimmy Butler trash-talking. It’s just one more wrong reason behind NBA’s very own Batman to make the headlines. Grant Williams and Jimmy Butler were beefing throughout the seven games of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics last playoffs. The Heat team got the last laugh and Himmy Buckets eliminated them.
Grant Williams on his recent appearance on, the “Run Your Race” podcast, recalled the back-and-forth trash-talk exchange he had with Jimmy Butler in Game 2 of the ECF. While doing so he quoted, “Jimmy says ‘Hell no, he ain’t here!’ So I made a 3, I said, ‘Hell no, motherf**ker, I’m here!’ … The next play, Jimmy – hesi, boom boom, stop, pivot, and-1. And he said, ‘I’m here too, motherf**ker!’ … It’s cr*zy that I always look back on it now. Yo, you know I scored our last 10 points?“
Continuing his train of thoughts, he further added, “And he had eight… Strus made a 3, Vincent made a 3, so they ended up winning the game, if that doesn’t happen, we win the game, no one brings that up.”
This story about Grant Williams pleased many on the internet. He even added that it’s all love between him and Jimmy, and that’s just some competitive spirit. That was really a tough game between the Celtics and Miami Heat, so it wasn’t really all love between them when the action was on to get a Finals spot. And now we have Jimmy Butler’s agent, Bernard Lee, calling it out as a fake story.
Bernard Lee called out Grant Williams on Twitter by retweeting his story of trash-talking with Jimmy Butler. Lee wrote, “This didn’t happen, haha.” This really ruined all those happy basketball fans, and now we know Grant Williams is a liar. However, some wait for a confirmation from Jimmy Butler, as the chances of his agent clowning do exist.
Grant Williams on pairing up with Luka Doncic
Williams is very excited to suit up alongside superstar Luka Doncic. He knows the Slovenian All-Star guard’s vision and solid playmaking skills are going to land him some wide-open buckets to drill. As he sat alongside JJ Redick, he quoted, “With Luka, he does a great job of no matter when you feel like you’re open, he’s gonna find you. I’m excited just because he brings so much pressure and attention to himself that he does a good job of getting others involved.”
Grant Williams also aims to earn Luka Doncic’s and others’ respect while balling out. He has already started a friendly beef with his former team and now looks ahead to a deep postseason run with the Dallas Mavericks. He’ll also have to improve his game on both ends, especially the defensive one.
