Amidst mounting controversy regarding the treasure trove of documents that are set to be released related to the infamous Jeffrey Epstein, a range of high-profile celebrities have been accused of being linked with the notorious sex offender.
It was recently ruled that there was no need for the courts to keep information regarding Epstein’s allies a secret, leading to an incredible situation. Amongst names such as Britain’s Prince Andrew and former President Bill Clinton comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel’s name has also come up.
Things went awry when Kimmel was initially accused of being linked to Epstein by none other than NFL professional Aaron Rodgers. Kimmel himself hit back at the allegations from Aaron Rodgers, even bringing up the possibility of legal consequences.
Now, however, with the court list expected to be revealed in the coming days, another controversial situation related to Kimmel has been consistently talked about. Kimmel, back on The Man Show by Comedy Central, had been involved in a ‘blackface’ sketch that saw him parody the great Karl Malone. That was in addition to his portrayal of Oprah Winfrey.
The Blackface phenomenon has been utterly criticized in recent years due to the racial connotations attached. However, with Kimmel expected to be, at least in some measure, involved in the case involving Epstein, the clip has again come up on Twitter, leading to a range of criticism. While Kimmel has not responded to the latest controversy, he had previously apologized for his Blackface sketches, back in 2020.

In 2020, Kimmel had himself talked about the kind of sketches that he did during his time on the Comedy Central series. Malone, a legitimate Boston Celtics legend, was among a range of other celebrities including Oprah Winfrey who he dressed up as.
However, the talk show host clarified that he never thought that the portrayal would one day be criticized due to racial reasons:
We hired makeup artists to make me look as much like Karl Malone as possible. I never considered that this might be seen as anything other than an imitation of a fellow human being, one that had no more to do with Karl’s skin color than it did his bulging muscles and bald head.
Hence, while the Epstein case is effectively a different story, it is clear that Kimmel has already paid his dues for the mistakes he committed in lieu of his comedy sketches.
