JJ Redick claims Nikola Jokic to be the best player in the league right now,

Nikola Jokic and JJ Redick
Nikola Jokic has finally impressed JJ Redick with his on-court dominance. The former NBA star didn’t ride with the Joker in the past. But the tables have now turned, and he regrets giving his MVP vote to Giannis Antetokounmpo and not Nikola Jokic. JJ Redick now rides with the Joker, after the Nuggets got past the Los Angeles Lakers in the series-opener of the Western Conference Finals.
Nikola Jokic is a 2-MVP, but unfortunately, he has never gotten the correct recognition in the league. His inhuman plays and greats on the court go unnoticed, but the real hoopers know how great of a legend Nikola Jokic is. And now even JJ Redick has realized what he was sleeping on. As he crowned Nikola Jokic with the tag of being dominant and the best player in the league.
JJ Redick switched teams after Nikola Jokic’s dominant performance against the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers. The Nuggets got the dub behind Joker’s triple-double of 34 points, 21 rebounds, and 14 assists. He was backed by Jamal Murray (31 points) and KCP (21 points). After the game, JJ Redick delivered his take full of respect for the MVP on ESPN’s “Get UP.”
There sitting alongside Brian Windhorst and others, JJ Redick quoted, “I have reiterated this a number of times this season. I say this a lot of times for Nikola Jokic. He is a calculator MVP, he is a computer MVP. Cause he looks really good on a spreadsheet. I’m sorry you haven’t watched him… I kept hearing the word dominant when talking about Giannis and Embiid. And, Jokic isn’t dominant? I didn’t vote for Jokic for MVP I voted for Giannis… But look this is who he is every single night. It’s not about spreadsheet, it’s not about advanced analytics.”
Further, JJ Redick giving the utmost respect to Nikola Jokic as a basketball player went on to say, “He imposes his will on the basketball game as well as anyone in the league. And, I’ll reiterate what I said in the first hour he is the best player in the NBA right now. You cannot argue that.”

Can Nikola Jokic get past LeBron James, Lakers?

The Denver Nuggets are leading 1-0 in the Western Conference Finals and are favored to advance against the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers. Nikola Jokic is really putting in the work on the offensive end. But it’s not the end yet, and LeBron James and Anthony Davis also balled out in the series opener. They almost came back from a 21-point deficit, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to finish the run. Also, the Nuggets’ defensive end wasn’t able to stop the dynamic duo.
LeBron James got 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. While Anthony Davis chipped in 40 points, 3 rebounds, and 10 assists. So if Nikola Jokic wants to lead the Denver Nuggets past the Los Angeles Lakers, the ‘team needs to step up big on the defensive end. They surely can do that, as they have a deep roster, and some defensive adjustments will get the job done. But the road is never easy when it’s LeBron James on the other end.
