“That’s a Seth Rollins out of 10” – Joel Embiid CURB STOMPS Grant Williams during 76ers’ brutal loss to Celtics
WATCH as Joel Embiid makes BRUTAL WWE move on Grant Williams and shocks NBA Twitter.
Joel Embiid curb-stomps Grant Williams.
The Philadelphia 76ers were defeated by the Boston Celtics in Game 3, this time by a score of 114-102. One may argue that this is better than the team’s blowout 34-point loss in Game 2, but the signs aren’t promising. The 76ers’ reliance on their star players has cost them dearly as James Harden struggles. While Harden put on a display in Game 1, he hasn’t been able to maintain his momentum thereafter. As for Joel Embiid, the freshly minted MVP hasn’t been able to shoulder the entire responsibility of the scoring department on his own.
The highlight of the game wasn’t the 76ers’ dismal performance. The highlight was Joel Embiid hitting the Celtics’ Grant Williams with one of the sickest WWE moves. This went down in the fourth quarter of the crucial Game 3.
Grant Williams and Jaylen Brown crashed on the floor while scrambling for a loose ball. To everyone’s surprise, Joel Embiid came crashing down during the same sequence. Gravity got the best of Embiid as he fell on the hard floor with his foot stomping Williams’ face against the ground. Williams was immediately taken off the court with a bloody nose and mouth, as the commentators immediately knew it hurt.
Later in the game, Embiid and Williams seemed to be chatting about the incident, signaling no hard feelings. Williams was lucky as the brutal “curb stomp” could’ve done more damage than it did, considering the size of the 300-pound MVP.
NBA Twitter reacts to Joel Embiid’s HORRIFIC curb stomp on Grant Williams
An entirely unintentional sequence took the NBA Twitter by stomp as Joel Embiid delivered one of the most brutal WWE moves. While Grant Williams didn’t suffer great damage, Embiid’s move was still hailed as dangerous. The players seem to have sorted the issue out inside the game as they were spotted having a candid conversation.
Even after the game, Williams said, “I was like ‘Dang, I really got curb-stomped’. It happens man.” Williams then added,” I’m just thankful he didn’t fully lean his weight on it because he definitely got me pretty badly. But then I think he felt that he landed on something so he picked his foot up. Hurts a little bit.”
Let us now take a look at the reactions NBA Twitter had to this absolutely savage WWE move by Embiid. While some called him the “Seth Rollins” of the NBA, others took a sigh of relief after the Boston Celtics forward came back on the court. In a move that “could’ve nearly ended Williams’ career,” Embiid shook social media.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Philadelphia 76ers plan on coming back from two straight losses against the Celtics. Their strategy of depending on Harden must change after the past two games. What they will do is a question we’ll get an answer to in Game 4. It’ll all go down on Monday!
