Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers faced off against the Toronto Raptors today in their Game 3 of the first round series of the Playoffs. With what ended up being a high intensity matchup with a really small margin between both the teams. The 76ers managed to get the dub against their long-time rivals, thanks to Embiid’s strong clutch game. The clutch-game that we often refer to in these games is the same one that made Embiid cry in 2019 after losing to the Toronto Raptors in the Conference Finals, and the one that he displayed today seemed like a revenge for what Kawhi did to him in 2019.

The Philadelphia 76ers have managed to build one of the strongest squads in the league around Joel Embiid and James Harden, thanks to which the team has been able to dominate almost every single game that they have played in. In fact the dominance is such that it almost seems unfair to other teams that have to face off against them in order to go ahead.

This time, the Toronto Raptors have had to face the wrath of the 76ers who now are 3-0 up against the former in the round one playoff series.

Let us now take a closer look at the game between the 76ers and the Raptors which resulted in one of the most epic moments coming from the playoffs this year as Joel Embiid shot a crazy buzzer-beater to take his team to the win, silencing the entire crowd and giving them a 3-0 advantage over the rivals.

Embiid’s buzzer-beater shot

A similar sight occurred in game 7 in the 2019 playoffs when both the same teams had faced off. Kawhi Leonard had banked in an insane buzzer-beater, throwing the sixers out and making Embiid cry. With what has been seen on social media, this sounds more like a revenge of Embiid against his old rivals. In reaction to the shot, he said, “It felt great but the job’s not done. We’ve got to get one more.” After which, Sixers player Tobias Harris added on to the praise by saying, “For him, that’s a high-percentage shot, especially on that wing. We got the ball to our best player, somebody who makes plays, makes shots.”
