To those who demand a viable picture for Embiid’s importance for his side, he has averaged more than 26 points per game in the playoffs so far. Journalist and NBA insider Shams Charania has tweeted out that the Philadelphia 76ers All-NBA star Joel Embiid suffered a right orbital fracture and mild concussion in series-clinching Game-6 win last night in Toronto. He will be listed as out and there is no timetable for his return. This comes as a huge blow for the chance of the Sixers to go into the Conference finals.

Given that Harden and Tyrese Maxey have picked up their form, there seems to be no-two-ways in stating that Joel Embiid was the main piece in Sixers’ championship aspirations. Now when they are up against the Heat in the semi-finals round, veteran defenders like Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, PJ Tucker are going to torment the youngsters of Philly. If it was for Embiid, the Heat would have faced stern competition in the paint, and majorly on the scoring board.
