It is hard to imagine NBA without the emergence of Michael Jordan and the kind of impact this Chicago Bulls legend has had on all modern-era players. In particular there is one particular decision which could have resulted in fans probably not being able to witness the legendary of His Airness, as per John Salley.

After winning the 1992 Championship, Michael Jordan told Magic Johnson that he had lost some love for the game and is probably thinking of hanging up his boots. But in an interview after on, he admitted that he has atleast 4 years of NBA left within him. But as things got tough for MJ, he was hit by the worst storm as his father, James Jordan was murdered in the summer of 1993.
Did Michael Jordan plan on killing his father’s murderer?

This led to Michael Jordan retiring from the league only to try his hand in Minor League Baseball in hopes of getting to the Major League. To those who are not aware, Baseball was a sport that his father always wanted him to play and he chose this path from 1993 to 1995 to honor him. When talking about this situation on VladTV, an interesting angle to it all is brought up to John Salley, MJ’s former Bulls teammate who played with him for 17 games in the ‘96 season.
Vlad interviewed Jayson Williams, a man who lost his sister in a brutal attack. A book was referenced where it is written that Jordan confessed to Williams that if he had a chance to have his father’s killer murdered, he might not have backed away from going through with it.

When asked about his thoughts on this being Jordan’s potential mindset, John Salley used O.J. Simpson an analogy, saying, “Look what happened to O.J. He told 2 guys to show up with him, he’s gonna go get his stuff. Next thing you know, O.J gets 13 years in jail.”
Although Daniel Green, the man who was convicted of killing James Jordan, claimed that if Michael Jordan wanted him dead, but as things stand His Airness did manage to come out of the deep hole only to focus upon himself in an even better manner.
