Jonathan Isaac, having been sidelined by injuries for the past three seasons, has found yet another interest. His book, “Why I Stand” launched last year, became a bestseller. Following in the footsteps of doing non-basketball things, Isaac has launched something new yet again. His clothing brand, “UNITUS” was launched at an event in Orlando.

The brand, according to Isaac, bolsters “anti-woke” and “pro-Christian” values. At the event, Isaac said, “Moms and dads who want to buy their kids sneakers and clothes but want to give their money to a company that they know is going to work toward bolstering their values.” His plan is to provide an alternative to the brands that are going “woke” and have tried to undermine Christian value systems.

Isaac evidently is influenced heavily by Christianity and feels that his success is due to his journey to give glory and honor to Jesus Christ. The launch event featured a performance from the Christian Artist Tauren Walls and ended with a fashion show, which displayed the brand in full force. According to Isaac, he is going to debut the “Judah I” shoe, having a bible verse tied to each one of them, during the upcoming NBA season. The sneaker will be launched in five styles — unconquered, ruah (the Hebrew word for spirit), triumph, exodus, and lion of Judah.

NBA Twitter, seeing the launch event and the announcements, mostly got cringed by it and called him out for not focusing on the game. However, there were some who did support the Orlando Magic forward’s initiative.

The Orlando Magic forward, Isaac had missed the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons completely due to a knee injury. In 2023, as he made a comeback after 904 days, he witnessed a memory of his lifetime as he got a standing ovation from the whole arena. As he is all set to play for the same team in the upcoming season, he sure will look to replicate the same impact on the court he has been making off of it.
