Not only is Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies’ most important player if they are to make a bid for the championship. He is also one of the most beloved youngsters in the league. But in Game 3 of Grizzlies vs Warriors, it seems like the 22-year-old has majorly got injured which could possibly side-line him for most of the series. And how is on the receiving end? Jordan Poole.

In both Game 1 and Game 2 there were questionable fouls, and Game 3 proved to be no different as Jordan Poole seemed to have appeared to grab Morant by his knee. And in a matter of couple of hours, there have been plenty of opinions already passed upon. So, what was said by Warriors’ young stud, Jordan Poole? Take a look below-

It was because of a video that looks like Jordan Poole grabbed Ja Morant’s knee. Some believe that it’s the play that injured the All-Star guard.

It was a basketball play,” Jordan Poole told ClutchPoints. “We doubled him, and I hit the ball. I was going for the ball, and obviously, you don’t want to see anybody get hurt. I’m not even that type of player. I respect everybody, so hopefully, he gets better.” 

After the game, Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and Ja Morant expressed that they saw things differently. Jenkins accused Jordan Poole of injuring his star guard, and Ja Morant posted a video that is allegedly the moment he got hurt, and the caption read, “broke the code.”

Grizzlies went onto brutally lose the game, perhaps for the first time in these playoffs, they have looked so vulnerable. With Poole receiving backlash from all over the basketball world for injuring one of the most influential modern-day players, it remains to be seen if NBA is going to further investigate the matter. Where will this injury lead Morant, Grizzlies in this semi-final series? Remains to be seen.
