OKC Thunder’s Josh Giddey was under investigation, both by the league and the Newport Beach Police Department in late November. He was alleged to be involved in a physical relationship with a girl who was presumed to be a high school student.

However, the Oklahoma City Thunder star can breathe easy at last. Josh Giddey has been let off the hook from investigations related to his relationship with the underage girl. TMZ Sports initially reported that police found no corroborating evidence as they concluded their investigation. As a result, no charges will be levied against Giddey.

Giddey came under the microscope after photos and videos of him were shared online. The since-deleted photos went viral as comments on social media claimed the girl was underage. This sparked controversy from all quarters.

The police launched an investigation after the claims started to grow louder on social media. As per Oklahoma state law, the minimum age for consent is 16. Giddey was also subjected to booing from opposition fans while on the basketball court.

Fans not convinced with the results of the investigation

Josh Giddey came into the league in 2021. Since then, he has tried to build a reputation as a good player. However, this recent controversy has led to a lot of criticism and a loss of face for the player. Though the investigative results exclude the chances of any charges, fans are not convinced.
