“Tell your grandma to dm me” Josh Giddey goes shirtless only to impress OKC teammate’s grandma

“Tell your grandma to dm me” Josh Giddey goes shirtless only to impress OKC teammate’s grandma

Josh Giddey and Tre Mann of OKC

After an impressive 2021-22 season, Josh Giddey looked on a mission to get himself in the best shape possible for his team. The 19-year-old missed a significant part of the 2021-22 campaign due to injury, and it seems like he’s raring to go right now. So after working hard on his physique, Giddey decided to strike a style pose beside a pool with his shirt off. His OKC teammate, Tre Mann told Giddey to “chill” because his grandma was on the app. But Giddey also took the chance to poke fun back at Tre as he clapped back viciously by suggesting that Mann’s grandma should go and slide into his DM.

While it was a clear flex of how hard he’s been working on his physique, Giddey also has a very witty mind. It’s just one of the most hilarious exchanges on Twitter this summer. Giddey and the team are getting ready for the upcoming season, with some great additions. In his rookie year, the Australian national put up averages of 12.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. It’s no wonder the Thunder are so high on this young man.

Oklahoma City Thunders finished 14th in the West with a 24-58 record last season. The young rebuilding team looked disheartened with the outcome of the season. But in the second year of their rebuild, there were highs and lows as the young players on the roster continued to improve.

The Thunder entered the season with more benchmarks ahead than expectations. Loaded with 10 prospects aged 23-or-under, Mark Daigneault’s crew had been critiqued early due to their overall inexperience and lack of a stable center. However, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returning from a long-term injury and No. 6 Pick Josh Giddey slated to log NBA minutes – there were multiple potential storylines at hand. And then they managed to draft one of the exciting talents in the 2022 draft pool – Chet Holmgren.

The Gonzaga youngster filled in the exact position OKC was looking to fill in. Now they have a versatile 7-footer capable of operating in the paint and even on the range. He would provide the mid-range shooting team with some options at the Rim and also around the 3-point range.

With SGA carrying the offensive load for the OKC, he would be please with some help in guard and forward personnel. SGA averaged 25 points per game last season while playing 50-around games Giddey averaged exactly half of those tally.

But the addition of Holmgren would change the style of play and scoring options for Oklahoma City Thunders. Pundits are also very excited about the newly formed young team with Holmgren. The young team looks solid and exciting but might need to gain some experience in order to make a strong claim at Larry O’Brien Trophy.
