Marcus Smart and Jrue Holiday

Marcus Smart and Jrue Holiday

Jrue Holiday is a defensive expert and everyone around the league especially the Milwaukee Bucks know it since last year. As he showcased his great defensive skillset during their championship run. This year the defending champions are back in the run again and are going all in and against of the Jayson Tatum-led Boston Celtics in the eastern conference semi-finals. The series is so far the most interesting and physical one. As there’s a lot of physical action, trash talk, and whistles involved with some controversial officiating as it leaves the fans of either team unhappy. As of now the Milwaukee Bucks under the leadership of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday have the series at 3-2 and are one win away from advancing to the eastern conference finals. As they will surely look to close the series at home during Game 6.

The Boston Celtics hosted the Milwaukee Bucks at TD Garden for Game 5. It was an important game for both the teams and was closely contested and head to head. The Boston Celtics were the favored one to win the game most of the time. As they dominated the Bucks on the offensive end and held them back since the second quarter. As the Jayson Tatum led Boston Celtics had the lead since then. But the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks with the great defensive expert Jrue Holiday in the backcourt stepped up in the fourth quarter and came all the way up from being down by 14 points early in the last quarter and got the dub with some final seconds heroics. Bobby Portis, Jrue Holiday, and Giannis Antetokounmpo got it all done in the last minutes of the game as they tied the game, brought in the lead, and showcased some godlike defensive plays.

Jrue Holiday in the game backed up Giannis Antetokounmpo (40 points, 3 assists, and 11 rebounds) and dropped 24 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds. He gets the most credits for the win even though Greek Freak single-handedly carried the offensive end. As Jrue Holiday stepped up in clutch against the Boston Celtics and closed the game for his team to register a very important win.

Jrue Holiday with 42.4 seconds remaining for the game to end got the ball from Bobby Portis and went on to drill a deep three-pointer which tied the game at 105-105. Further, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis brought in a one-point lead at 108-107 favoring the Milwaukee Bucks. Then adding to it on the next possession of the Celtics, Jrue Holiday got a block on Marcus Smart and while getting pushed of out of bounds he ran an IQ play and got the ball for his team as he got it deflected out after throwing it on Marcus Smart. The Celtics still had a chance to force overtime after Pat Connaughton made two free throws but Marcus Smart once again got the ball picked up by Jrue Holiday and a game-winning steal was registered. As the Bucks won with the final box score standing at 110-107.

There are thousands of reactions to offer for the great defensive play of Jrue Holiday who stepped up in clutch for his team.
