“Corniest s**t ever” – Jrue Holiday’s wife Lauren complains about husband being traded to Celtics, NBA fans SLAM former soccer star and tell her to suck it up

Recently, Jrue Holiday was traded from the Milwaukee Bucks. He has ended up in Boston with the Celtics. The trade was swift and abrupt and snuck up on Holiday with almost no warning. Holiday’s wife, Lauren, was deeply upset that the Bucks traded Holiday so abruptly and without any notice.
She took to social media to vent her frustration. In a post she wrote, while talking about Holiday’s sudden trade, “No warning, no heads up, not even a conversation that it could be a possibility. Just, it’s done. Now move on because ‘it’s not personal, it’s business.” She proceeded to add on, “So, yes, this is more than business. Not because we’re offended by it but, because we are people, we’re humans, we have relationships, dreams, and a connection to where we play.”
She proceeded to talk about how teams could do trades differently saying, “Imagine a world where we didn’t hide behind the business of things, where we didn’t treat one another like commodities, instead we saw each other as valuable pieces of a human community meant to serve one another in a mosaic of ways.”
Her concern is valid from her point of view. Her whole family has been uprooted in the blink of the eyes and in the minds of organizations it is just a business transaction. However, Holiday knew what he was getting into before coming into the league and these trades are common practice in many organizations.
NBA fans ridicule Lauren Holiday for her statements
NBA fans found Lauren’s statements laughable. They said that Holiday was sufficiently compensated monetarily for the trouble he had to go through and the adjustments he had to make were justified by his salary.
They took to Twitter to express their frustration at her statements. One fan said, “This is corniest shit ever. Jrue gets handsomely compensated for this inconvenience of not choosing where he can live for 6-9 months out of the year. For playing a game a YMCA coach invented to keep bored high school kids occupied.”
The Holiday family will now be settling down in Boston. Many fans are excited to see how Holiday fits in with the Boston Celtics. His trade to Boston has led to many people touting the Celtics as the favorites to win the champions. How they fare against other teams however, will be seen once the regular season begins.
