Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson lead Knicks to first win in Toronto since 2015
Despite not doing well in the initial results of NBA All-Star fan voting. Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson persisted in making their individual arguments for selection in Canada last week when they faced the Toronto Raptors.
Following a five-game losing streak, Randle poured in 32 points as the Knicks defeated the Raptors at Scotiabank Arena, 112-108, to earn their fourth straight victory. Additionally, it was the Knicks’ first victory on the road against the Raptors since Nov. 10, 2015, snapping an 11-game losing run.
“Oh my goodness, it’s about time we won one of those types of games,” Randle said. “We made free throws down the end and executed down the stretch. And they don’t hit every single ridiculous shot.” “The way he’s playing is just unheard of,” Brunson also added some sweet words for Randle. Further, he mentioned, “He’s playing really well. He’s playing with confidence and he’s having fun. So it’s really awesome to see how he’s been able to kind of bounce back”. The Knicks and Raptors though will be facing each other once again and this time at Madison Square Garden on Monday, 16th January 2023.
