Following Kai Cenat‘s spirited performance at the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity game, the popular online streamer found himself on the receiving end of a heartfelt gesture from NBA star Dwight Howard. Despite narrowly missing out on the MVP title, Cenat’s efforts on the court caught the attention of millions, including Howard, who expressed faith in Cenat’s abilities.

In a gesture of support and camaraderie, Howard extended a special invitation to Cenat to join him in creating their own celebrity basketball game overseas. Reminiscing about Cenat’s international basketball debut with the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan back in 2022, Howard proposed Taiwan as the first stop for their basketball extravaganza.

Howard also suggested the Philippines as their next destination, highlighting the global appeal of the sport and the opportunity to connect with fans on an international stage. On Twitter, he wrote:

Aye Kai let’s do our own celebrity game overseas ??! First stop Taiwan ?? second stop Philippines ??

Howard’s gesture not only underscores his belief in Cenat’s talent but also reflects a shared passion for the game of basketball. Howard, an NBA legend himself, has made a successful career in Taiwan, and certainly wants to see Cenat play again.

From the moment he stepped onto the court alongside Stephen Curry, Cenat commanded attention with his dazzling entrance, setting the stage for a memorable performance. Clad in Reverse Grinch Kobe 6s, his attire paid homage to the revered basketball culture, showcasing his deep-rooted appreciation for the sport and its legendary figures.

As the game progressed and the final moments approached, Cenat seamlessly blended humor with sincerity, humorously but earnestly seeking forgiveness from the fans and channeling the spirit of Kobe Bryant. In a touching yet lighthearted gesture, he recreated Kobe’s iconic championship image, substituting the trophy with a bag, all while playfully acknowledging his own performance at the All-Star event.

Cenat had said the following before the game:

We’re going for 30 points tonight. If Ice Spice is at courtside, we'll up that to 45 points, 10 assists, and 17 rebounds

While he did not quite match the statline, there is little doubt that basketball fans are going to get another look at his skills. That is especially true, if he takes up Dwight Howard on the invite.
