On February 10th, the highly awaited album from the world of hip-hop finally hit the airwaves, igniting a wave of excitement across the internet. Despite several delays in its release, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign, collectively known as “¥$”, unleashed their debut album titled “Vultures 1”. Amidst the diverse reactions flooding the internet, Marcus Jordan, the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, tweeted a cryptic response to the album, sparking curiosity among fans about whether it’s a win or a loss.

Marcus Jordan’s response came in the form of a ‘face exhaling’ emoji, accompanying his tweet: “This @kanyewest album ?‍?“. Reviewing the timeline, it’s evident that Michael Jordan’s admiration for Kanye West isn’t exactly profound. Their feud traces back to 2015, ignited by Yeezy’s track “Facts”, which featured a controversial lyric aimed at the NBA icon: “Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman”. MJ’s reaction was palpable, showcasing his displeasure. Despite Marcus Jordan’s attempts to mend the feud by initiating dialogue, his efforts proved futile as Michael Jordan remained disinterested, even in the face of Kanye’s subsequent apology for the lyric.

Marcus’ reaction isn’t necessarily influenced by the rumored tension between his father and Kanye West. Despite the strained relationship between West and MJ, Marcus has been an outspoken advocate of West’s music. In a candid moment during an episode of Separation Anxiety with his girlfriend Larsa Pippen, Marcus praised West for his ability to adapt to the ever-changing music scene and evolve accordingly. He emphasized West’s prowess in navigating the “game” with finesse.

I feel like Ye, you know, from where he first started to obviously where he is at now, there has been a huge transition in journey. Somebody that didn’t like ‘Yeezus’ might have liked, you know, his next album.

As Marcus aptly pointed out, opinions on albums can vary greatly among listeners. With that in mind, the question arises: is Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign’s collaborative album a hit or a miss for Marcus?
