Karl Anthony-Towns usually goes about his business to play in every game to the best of his abilities. However, his performance against the Indian Pacers in yesterday’s game had an unusual caveat.

Anthony-Towns tweeted after the game that he noticed a particular fan’s tweet before the game. The tweet said;

Anthony-Towns proceeded to drop 40 points as the tweet suggested. This was unusual because Anthony-Towns saw the tweet and then dropped the exact points mentioned in the tweet. After the game, he reposted the fan’s tweet mentioning;

This is surely going to be a sweet victory for the fan. Predicting the same points as the player in question had at the final whistle is a very very rare occurrence in any form of sports. The fan’s tweet since has gone on to have 4.9 million views.

Karl Anthony-Towns led the Minnesota Timberwolves with 40 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists to win 127 – 109 against the Indiana Pacers. His superstar teammate Anthony Edwards added 37 points and 4 assists. The Pacers playing without star guard Tyrese Haliburton had Bruce Brown and Aaron Nesmith lead them with 17 points and 5 rebounds each.

The Timberwolves are posting a massive turnaround compared to last season. They are leading the Western Conference with a 19-5 record. All thanks to All-Star level play from Edwards, Anthony-Towns along with the rest of the team.
