The match had many celebrities coming out to watch the game, including Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard, who came from San Diego to watch Sanders’ Colorado continue their undefeated run. Kawhi hasn’t been seen in public ever since the Clippers were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round where Kawhi didn’t play after the first two games.
A Lil Wayne concert preceded the match, and many superstars, including Offset, showed up to watch the game. Celebrities like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Shannon Sharpe, and Rob Gronkowski showed up to show support for Sanders’ incredible college program.
Fans were mostly surprised by Kawhi’s presence because it’s very rare to see Kawhi at public events. Whenever he does show up, it’s mostly for very special occasions. Kawhi showed up in Colorado for Saturday Night Football all the way from San Diego, where he lives with his family. Kawhi showing up to a non-basketball game shows how big of a draw Coach Sanders is.

Kawhi hopes that his next season doesn’t go like the previous two, where he missed significant time, including important playoff games.
