Last night, the Los Angeles Clippers surged into first place in the NBA Western Conference standings with a record of 34-15. This leap came after the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves both suffered losses to the Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls, respectively.
Since the start of the new year, the Clippers have been unstoppable, claiming victory in 15 games and suffering only 3 defeats. Their latest triumph was a hard-fought 149-144 win over the Atlanta Hawks at the State Farm Arena.

It’s evident that the Clippers aren’t guaranteed to maintain their current position as they are still several months away from the playoffs, where they’ve notably lacked success. However, despite this, their transformation since November 14 has been astonishing.
Once again, Kawhi Leonard appears to be one of the NBA’s most dominant players. Since his return from a hip injury on January 1st, Leonard has been averaging 24.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks, showcasing a remarkably efficient shooting performance of .550/.506/.922.
Despite these impressive performances, fans remain unimpressed. It’s understandable, given the Clippers’ reputation for faltering when it counts the most.
Fans not impressed by LA Clippers surge to the top of the Western Conference standings
The Los Angeles Clippers surged to the top of the Western Conference standings after losses last night for rivals Timberwolves and the OKC Thunder. Despite the challenges, the Clippers appear to be in good shape and have positioned themselves in a way that would have seemed unimaginable just a few months ago. However, not all fans are convinced.

Taking to the popular social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter) one user @my_chappie tweeted:
