In light of recent events, NBA Veteran PJ Tucker who currently plays as a power forward for the LA Clippers, made an appearance in a light-hearted conversation over a podcast with the four-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala. Tucker, in the ongoing conversation, shares a hilarious instance about his experience with the NBA champion and his current teammate Kawhi Leonard.
PJ Tucker in the podcast opened up about his experience playing against Kawhi Leonard in all these years until his trade to the Clippers, with them being on the same team. Tucker mentioned that in all the years he played against Leonard, there hasn’t been any exchange of dialogue among them.
Moreover, he said that he appreciated Leonard for his exceptional skills on the court, but there hasn’t been any instance where they had an actual conversation. Tucker shared an unexpected moment with Leonard when Tucker’s team, the Phoenix Suns, was up against the San Antonio Spurs, and Leonard was a part of the franchise at the time.
The 38-year-old explains that the Suns were at the free-throw line for the shot when Tucker and Leonard were standing next to each other. As Tucker recalls, Kawhi Leonard leans on to him amidst the heat of the game and is said to have complemented his shoes by saying, “They are dope”.
PJ Tucker, in all these years of guarding and playing against Kawhi Leonard, shared his first conversation with the forward, and it was about his choice of shoes. Tucker burst out laughing, as he didn’t expect that out of all the things and all these years of playing, that would be the first thing he would have a conversation about with his current teammate Kawhi Leonard.
Did James Harden throw a chair at co-star Kawhi Leonard?
The LA Clippers, since James Harden’s arrival, haven’t had an advantage. With a 0-4 record with Harden and their recent loss against the Memphis Grizzlies, news surfaced recently. It stated that James Harden was frustrated with their fourth loss and threw a chair at his fellow teammate and co-star, Kawhi Leonard. However, the news was false.
The news was published by a page called Ballsack Sports, which is infamous for spreading false information. In addition to that, not only did they report a false report on Harden throwing a chair at a fellow teammate, they also happened to make up a false report about James Harden asking for a trade request from the Clippers in just four games with them.
James Harden’s start with the Los Angeles Clippers is not something that anyone has expected across the basketball community. While the fanbase of the Clippers and NBA critics are disappointed with the former MVP’s performance with his team, one thing is for sure: Harden isn’t looking to jump ship anytime soon.
