Although Kendrick Perkins made a great point, the conversation goes much further as Curry still won a Championship after Durant’s departure while LeBron was fighting for a play-in spot with the Lakers. The pair have faced off against each other for a whopping 49 games including a 5 Playoffs matchup and a Play-in game. Although James boasts a higher number of points in their meetings, Curry leads the matchup in wins with a 27-22 lead the King and won 3 series out of their 4 Finals face-offs.

Lakers’ Front Office will have to get to WORK in NBA Free Agency

The Lakers this past season shocked everyone when they went all the way to the Western Conference Finals all thanks to a Rob Pelinka masterclass during the NBA trade deadline where he flipped a bleeding roster to a team boasting one of the most promising young rosters in the league with the addition of D’Angelo Russell, Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura.

With the looming NBA Free Agency, the Lakers have around $31 million worth of cap room to work with, meaning that the team is still under the Salary cap but the team is still very much powerless to sign a max player as $30 million would not cut it. The front office also has to address the resigning situation with the players they acquired at the deadline, the team will have to ultimately let go of Malik Beasley, Mo Bamba and Wenyen Gabriel if they intend to retain Rui Hachimura and Vanderbilt.

The team also plans to re-sign unrestricted free agent D’Angelo Russell and will also have to eventually make their mind up on the Kyrie Irving situation as signing Uncle Drew will basically put the team under the Luxury tax.

The NBA Free Agency will officially commence on 6 p.m. ET, Friday and teams are expected to be aggressive in the market as the league’s introduction of the hard cap made free agents much more valuable.
