Brooklyn Nets star player Ben Simmons will make a comeback for the Nets team in the upcoming 2022-2023 NBA season. He is already feeling the pressure to deliver for the Nets after being traded by the Philadelphia 76ers. ESPN’s analyst Kendrick Perkins recently talked about the Nets duo of Nic Claxton and Ben Simmons, and added the burden of his expectations on the strong shoulders of Ben Simmons.

Kendrick Perkins said, “I ain’t gonna lie, I need to see a little bit more from Claxton. I need to see a little bit more of pitbull.” He added, “Now, on the break, I mean, both of those guys (are) freaks of natures. I thought that was missing out of him a lot last season. Like, we saw it in spurts, but I need to see it more consistently.”

The Brooklyn Nets possess a strong roster for the upcoming season. After losing to Boston Celtics in the playoffs, the whole period has been disastrous. And they will be hoping to change their fortunes this season with the likes of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Nic Claxton on the team and with some great talents on the bench backing them up. Only time will tell how the Nets will be able to fair in the 2022-2023 season.

Is Ben Simmons the most underrated player in the NBA?

The Brooklyn Nets have constructed their Big 3, with Ben Simmons along with the likes of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Ben is expected to be fit for the upcoming season and should join the training camp after he underwent back surgery in May. It’s been a long since he last played an NBA game, the narrative of Simmons hence has been of the most underrated players in the league.

But now that he is being inducted as the top 3 for the Nets, he has an opportunity to come back strong and prove his mettle. Simmons’ ability to speed up their offense adds a much-needed wrinkle to their game plan while allowing him to take more of the offensive burden away from his other two partners. Also we shouldn’t sleep on the playmaking skills and the defensive bag he has. So with his awaited return he will be eager to get back to his critics by putting up a scaling performance.
