Jaylen Brown has been a reliable player ever since he was drafted in 2016. The Boston Celtics have been fairly successful over these last few years but they have had trouble carrying forth a singular momentum throughout the season. Followers may have noticed several players on the roster take a step back in productivity or just be messy while playing.
Last season had many of us shocked after they defeated the favorites Miami Heat to qualify for their first finals appearance since 2008. Jayson Tatum was a big part of their successful averaging 25.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. But the one problem that stopped them was their turnover rate. Tatum happened to have one worst turnover rate in NBA history recording 100 turnovers in 24 playoff games.

Boston Celtics willing to trade Jaylen Brown for Kevin Durant
This off-season had some very interesting names show up in the market. One among those was Kevin Durant, who requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets after tragedy filled season. The Slim Reaper is worth millions and teams are not willing to part ways with star players or lack the ability to meet Joe Tsai’s demands. Teams such as the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat were some of his favored destinations but not efforts have been made thus far.
The Celtics recently came forth with the idea of swapping Jaylen Brown for KD. Brown is considered an underdog on the Celtics roster after averaging 23.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. He also was very consistent during the playoffs which is why Boston was able to fight back ever so often. Obviously putting Durant in that mixture of budding talents would possibly win them a titles easily but the Celtics will have to part ways with other players like Marcus Smart and Payton Pritchard along with future first round draft picks.
Kendrick Perkins believes Celtics do not appreciate Jaylen Brown
Jaylen Brown is undoubtedly a very powerful asset to the team and several people do not agree on parting ways with the All-Star guard. Kendrick Perkins also is one of them who said, “Jaylen underappreciated Brown, who was the best player in the NBA Finals for the Boston Celtics I’ll tell you that damn much. Here’s the problem that I have. Every time it’s a trade and it’s something that need to be done, you can’t keep bringing up Jaylen Brown name because sooner or later those apologies, he ain’t gonna believe that no more.”
“I get it, man, it’s a business. If KD on the market and you think KD could win you a championship… “But why are they so quick to trade Jaylen Brown? Is Jaylen Brown really the guy that they really should be looking to trade?” Perk also added, “Jayson Tatum is the Lamborghini with the shiny rims on it that’s parked in the garage. “You know what? Let me tell you. You basically get the same production out of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. But see, Jayson Tatum is the Lamborghini with the shiny rims on it that’s parked in the garage.”
