Kendrick Perkins was blunt in his assessment of the Los Angeles Lakers’ current situation. Perkins is not confident that the Lakers will make the playoffs, despite their current three-game winning streak. He believes that the season has been marred by disappointment. He says the team’s problems are known to even LeBron James.

Even though the Los Angeles Lakers dominated the scoreboard with 150 points during their fantastic performance against the Indiana Pacers, Kendrick Perkins continues to believe that Purple and Gold have remained the same from the beginning of the season. He didn’t hesitate to give their fans a tough reality check, pointing out that even with the team’s recent confidence, a postseason spot is still a long way off.

To further elaborate on his criticism, Perkins said that the Los Angeles Lakers will probably face the Sacramento Kings or Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference playoff standings for a postseason return. They still have a lot of battles ahead of them, even though they are playing brilliantly right now.

With less than a month until the playoffs, teams have begun to perform at their peak. However, given the positions of the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and Houston Rockets in the Western Conference, it appears like these teams will struggle to finish in the top 6. The Lakers are still a couple of games away from securing a top-six spot to avoid the Play-In tournament.

The Lakers are ninth, and the Warriors are tenth. However, LeBron James’ squad has improved in recent games, particularly against the Pacers. The Lakers may not lose out on a spot in the playoffs because they have played fewer games than the club ahead of them. However, the Warriors’ and Rockets’ chances are getting worse due to their consistently poor performance.

The Rockets, are struggling to qualify for the Play-in tournament and are now ranked eleventh. However, their current winning streak of nine games in a row puts them on par with the Warriors and Lakers. For the playoff chase, the Rockets have been giving it their all. The Warriors may find the Rockets to be a genuine threat based on their current performance.
