“You don’t have the power” Kendrick Perkins roasts Kevin Durant after making his way back to Brooklyn Nets
Kevin Durant and Kendrick Perkins
ESPN analyst and one-time NBA champion Kendrick Perkins‘ prediction of Kevin Durant staying back at the Brooklyn Nets has destined to come true. Kevin Durant was on the verge of leaving the Brooklyn Nets and finding a new home for himself, but the trade couldn’t go on floors. Perkins said that Kevin was trying to get out of the Nets and now has withdrawn his interest of joining a new team. He even said that Kevin is not as powerful as he thinks for himself.
Perkins went guns blazing behind his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate, Kevin. He quotes, “KD doesn’t have the power, KD doesn’t have the juice,” Perkins said, “So what happened? He tried to request a trade, but nothing happened. He tried to get Steve Nash and Sean Marks fired, but nothing happened.”
Kendrick stated that Kevin’s window time ran out as the season is round the corner, and the training camps for the NBA teams will soon begin. He even said that Kevin tried to fire a few members of Brooklyn Nets management but even failed at doing so. And now, according to Perkins, the trust might be broken, and it will be interesting to see how the trust between the star player and the management is built this coming season.
Kevin Durant is to continue with Brooklyn Nets this season as well
There were rumors of NBA star player Kevin Durant trying to force a trade to move out of his current team Brooklyn Nets. He still has a little time left with his current contract with the team. But apparently, his efforts seemed to have gone in vain as he couldn’t find himself a new section to move in with.
This news has come recently that Kevin will stay at his current squad, and some pictures of him and his close friend and teammate, Kyrie Irving, practicing in Los Angeles went viral. Kevin was even seen having a series of ‘bitter and sweet’ tweets with Forbes sports analyst Tom Beer regarding his trade rumors.
