Kendrick Perkins and James Harden

Kendrick Perkins is a former NBA player who now is a host at ESPN’s First Take and also a player analyst for the same company. This time, Kendrick Perkins is viral in the headlines, as he criticized James Harden for his poor performance and slumps so far in the postseason. James Harden is still left to impress the league and fans around as the corrupted fans now want Ben Simmons and the core exchanged for the Beard back as they think he’s not worth it no more. He is so far the most criticized superstar in the postseason as he hasn’t stepped up and is down bad while his team is struggling against the Toronto Raptors after getting a 3-0 lead in the first-round series of the playoffs.

The Philadelphia 76ers as of now are leading the series by 3-2 and are one game away from advancing ahead while officially calling it a wrap for the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors have bounced back strong and came up with two-straight wins. There is already a lot of history between the two franchises and this series is just adding on to it. Joel Embiid is playing with a thumb injury but is living up to the expectations as he is trying his best out there on the court. While James Harden the man who was supposed to carry the squad as their primary player is acting lazy and washed up. Kendrick Perkins though in the recent segment of ESPN discussing his poor performance threw a lot of shade and criticism at him as he isn’t the same guy the Philadelphia 76ers traded for.

James Harden this postseason has more turnovers than field goals (two such games), is averaging about 36.8% on two-pointers (second-worst in NBA min.15 FGA), and is 0-for-10 on floaters. Kendrick Perkins had all these stats on the table and so he decided to go all-in and wrap it up for The Beard who isn’t having a great time at his new home Philadelphia 76ers. In fact, it was Kendrick Perkins who was the most hyped up for the duo at Philadelphia as he was the first one to reveal it out.

Kendrick Perkins discussing James Harden in regard to his poor performance in the postseason quoted: “Father Time hits every player at a different time in their career. I think Father Time has caught James Harden right now in front of our very own eyes. James Harden doesn’t have the speed or the explosiveness to get by guys. He’s not able to get to the rim and finish through contact. He’s not even able to get separation to get his three-point shot off. I get it, everybody wants to say Doc Rivers needs to put him in a position to be successful, but at the end of the day, James Harden has the ball in his hands. They’re running pick-and-roll actions, he’s having isolation plays, what other position can you put him in to go out there and succeed? Right now, the game has caught up to James Harden the speed and the athleticism. This is the James Harden we are going to see from here on out.”

Kendrick Perkins didn’t say anything wrong as it all makes sense as we can spectate one of the best guards miss it all while age starts acting up. He was also right on his end as he discussed a new role for him. But still many are sure that he can bounce back and shut down all the critics. The Toronto Raptors will be hosting the Philadelphia 76ers at Scotiabank Arena for Game 6 of the series. The Sixers better wake up and get the job done or else Game 7 would be forced and of course, the Raptors have the potential to win it all and run a comeback while being down by three games.
