Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant continues to shatter records with his prowess. In the recently concluded game against the Miami Heat. The 34-year-old on Sunday outscored Hawks icon Dominique Wilkins for the position of 14th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list by sinking a mid-range turnaround jumper for a total of 26,669 points. Durant, who has only played in 977 games thus far, is in a good position to move up the rankings much quicker than their present occupants.

The next player up is Oscar Robertson (27,710 points in 1,040 games), who will be quickly followed by Hakeem Olajuwon (26,946; 1,238). Durant famously tore his Achilles tendon at the 2019 NBA Finals, missed the 2019–20 season, and then made a strong recovery. Wilkins was one of the few former players with an Achilles injury to largely recover from it, which is fitting.

However the game didn’t end on a good note for the Brooklyn superstar as he got his right knee injured. After colliding with Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat during the game Durant sustained the injury. Soon, Durant departed the game and was declared unfit for the remainder of it. The team was able to pull together and stage a comeback in the fourth quarter. However, worries over Durant’s health seem to be the main concerns

At the post-game press conference, Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn provided an update on Kevin Durant’s injuries. When questioned about the wound, Vaughn responded by saying, “Yeah, he didn’t finish the game and just – right knee. He’ll get evaluated tomorrow. Then hopefully I’ll have some more info for you.”

This season, Kevin Durant has appeared to be among the league’s top performers. Despite the team’s summer controversy, Durant has unquestionably matured and developed into a leader. In recent weeks, the Brooklyn Nets have experienced their fair share of success. The Nets have appeared to be one of the league’s top teams as a result of Kyrie Irving’s comeback and revival.

The Nets were able to continue where they left off after falling to the Chicago Bulls 121-112 on January 5 after compiling a 12-game winning run. The Brooklyn Nets’ winning streak now stands at two games after defeating Miami 102-101.

This has had a remarkably good impact, as seen by the Nets’ outstanding recent winning streak. The Brooklyn Nets should be concerned about Durant’s injury given his impact. The Nets have every right to be concerned about his health given that the prior knee ailment kept him out for a sizable period of time.
