During his prime, John Wall was one of the best guards in the league. He was the No.1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft and is a 5-time All-Star. Unfortunately, his explosive playstyle eventually caught up with him and derailed his career. His former partner, Bradley Beal, recently joined the Phoenix Suns, and Wall has expressed his desire to reunite with his former teammate.
In a recent interview with Shams Charania on the “Run It Back” show, Wall discussed his relationship with former teammate Bradley Beal and the possibility of him reuniting with his former Wizards teammate. He also said that the Suns already possess three individuals capable of scoring many points, but lack a genuine point guard to facilitate their offense. He also expressed his willingness to join the team if given the opportunity.
Wall stated:
You have three guys who can easily notch 30 or 40 points any given night, so I believe it's simply about getting on the court with them. More importantly, across the entire league, it's about staying healthy. Yes, I would certainly love to join their team if given the chance.
Could John Wall move the needle for the Phoenix Suns?
While John Wall isn’t the same player who earned a max contract worth $170 million with the Washington Wizards in 2017, he can still contribute to a championship team and also be a good veteran presence for a team.

With the Phoenix Suns having a marginal amount of cap space, it opens opportunities for Wall to reunite with Bradley Beal and help the team win a championship and get back into the league.
Wall, who was on the Clippers in the 2022-23 season, has been bouncing around the league, going from the Wizards to the Rockets to being cut and getting signed by the Clippers and not being re-signed again. He averaged 11.4 points,5.7 assists and 2.8 rebounds but played only 34 games for the Clippers because the Clippers traded Wall to the Rockets who then waived him. Wall hasn’t played since.
