Kevin Durant is one of the best basketball players ever, but he also has a history of being very sensitive to online criticism and trolls. The Phoenix Suns star has been exposed several times for using fake accounts, vulgar language, and personal insults to defend himself and attack his haters on social media.
The latest incident of Durant’s thin skin involves him sending private messages to Jason McIntyre, a Fox Sports analyst and host of the ‘Straight Fire’ podcast, who criticized Durant for wasting his time arguing with random fans on Twitter about his legacy.
McIntyre said that Durant should get a life and stop being insecure and sensitive about his place among the top five players of all time. He also suggested that Durant should learn from Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry, two players who have influenced the game and have solid legacies without caring about what others think of them.
Durant did not appreciate McIntyre’s comments and decided to slide into his Instagram DMs to call him names and insult him. According to McIntyre, Durant called him “a fool”, “a clown”, “a drama major”, “a p-word” and “a broke boy”. “You’re such a clown. You don’t even like sports, you look like a drama major,” wrote Durant in McIntyre’s DMs.
Durant didn’t just stop there, according to McIntyre, “He just got personal. ‘You’re a fool’… He used the p-word to describe me. He calls me ‘broke boy’. Doesn’t address any of it doesn’t address why he would argue about being top 5”

Kevin Durant brutally cooks critics on Twitter space claiming he’s ‘not Top 5’
This comes after when he joined a Twitter Space on Friday night with the provocative title “Kevin Durant is not top 5” and challenged some of his critics. The host of the space, @LegendOfWinning, is known for his dislike of Durant.
Durant, who averaged 27.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game last season, has won two NBA championships and two Finals MVP awards with the Golden State Warriors. He is widely regarded as one of the most versatile and efficient scorers in NBA history.
By engaging in petty arguments and personal attacks on social media, Kevin Durant may be damaging his own image and credibility as a player and a person. He may need to rethink his approach to social media and how he handles criticism and trolls.
