Kevin Durant’s Twitter hobby found him in the middle of an internet roast session. A single tweet from the Phoenix Suns forward seemed to have provoked a famous comedian, Ryan Davis, to make a roast video.
Durant’s Twitter feud with comedian Davis started on Wednesday when he was engaging with fans on the social media platform. He replied to a tweet that claimed offense was the key to winning championships, expressing his disagreement. The tweet went viral and caught the attention of Davis, who decided to join the conversation and mock Durant. Durant did not hold back and fired back at Davis with some insults of his own.
The tweet that sparked the whole drama was a simple statement from the Suns’ star, “Offense wins u championships brother,” Davis saw the tweet on Instagram and commented that Durant “doesn’t know what wins championships.” Durant responded by calling Davis a “trash a– comedian.” That prompted Davis to post a lengthy video on Instagram, where he spent more than five minutes roasting Durant for his appearance, his career choices, and his social media habits.
The video touched on past controversies like Durant joining the Golden State Warriors in 2016, the star’s failure to get an All-Defensive selection, his 4-0 loss to the Boston Celtics, and also brought up his disputable stint with the Brooklyn Nets.
Davis also consistently sprinkled jokes circled around Durant’s hairline throughout the video. As of now, the video has garnered over 55,000 likes on the comedian’s Instagram handle @ryandaviscomedy.

Ryan Davis left nothing on the floor when he made the video. He ultimately left the Twitter world stunt with fans consoling Durant in the replies. That is how bad the situation is right now for Durant. He has not responded to the video by Davis. Nevertheless, the damage was already done, and fans online have advised Durant to overlook the whole ordeal rather than make the situation worse.
Here are some of the reactions from Twitter:
The Suns have emerged as one of the top contenders in the West after adding Bradley Beal to their roster this offseason. Durant faces a lot of pressure to prove himself as a leader and a champion, especially after his Twitter feud with Davis. This may be his final opportunity to silence his critics and win a title on his own terms.
